DARE GRADUATION - this will take place on Thursday 17th of July in the school hall at 2:15pm. Year 6 pupils will then be invited to a party immediately afterwards.

Well done to all of Year 6 for their hard work and immense effort during SAT's week. We are extremely proud of you!

FOOTBALL WORLD CUP 2014

This term, your final term at St John's Primary School, is all about the World Cup and Brazil. We will be learning lots about the history of this football competition and taking part in plenty of sport as well. In addition to this, we will be improving our geography skills through learning about Brazil and amazing facts about the Amazon rainforest.

Year 6 will also be taking part in their musical drama within a week this term led by the Acorn Theatre Company. This will take place the week immediately after half term (Monday 2nd of June) with their final evening performance on Friday 6th of June. More details will follow about this shortly.

Finally, Year 6 will be participating in the DARE (Drug Awareness Resistance Education) course starting this term. Each class will have an hour's session with PC Hand on a Thursday afternoon culminating in a DARE graduation and Year 6 leavers party. The final date for this will be confirmed shortly.

If you have any questions or are unsure of anything happening in Year 6 then please feel welcome to come and talk to us at any time, our doors are always open. Alternatively, if you would like to become involved in helping in class or supporting any of the activities that are taking place then this can also be arranged at your convenience.

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to a successful and productive term.
