Creative

Today's creative activities are all linked to

you and the parts of your body!

Depending on what you have to hand in your home you may need to make a few adjustments to the activity.

We would much rather you adapt an activity than make additional journeys outside your home.

You may want to have a go at all, or some of these activities or you may have some good ideas of your own.

This is one of the pages from our story 'Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers which is why I thought it would be nice for us to do some creative work about our bodies and try to learn the names of the parts of our bodies - including some we might not have heard of before.

Try making some people using bits and bobs from around your house. I wonder whether you can make a whole family...

Why not get your grown-up to draw around you on a large piece of paper and then label all the parts of your body. Or stick labels you have written all over your grown-up.

Cut out the words and stick them next to the correct part of the body. Your grown-up can help you read the words, but try to cut them out and find where to stick them by yourself . Or you could just write your own labels in the boxes.

You could use these to finish drawing all the missing parts and then add your own labels.

Look at your face in the mirror and try to draw yourself as carefully as possible.

Can you add all the little details like your eye brows and eyelashes.

It'll be tricky, but have a go.

This ideas is a little trickier but still fun.

Ask your grown-up to cut a photo of you in half

and see whether you can draw the missing half back again.

Here's another fun activity for photos of faces.

You could use photographs of your family, pictures from magazines,

or even draw some of your own to use.

They just all need to be of a similar size.

Try doing some exercise.

Run on the spot - getting faster and faster,

Do some jumps - jumping as high as you can etc

Keep going until you can feel your heart beating fast

and the breath going in and out of your lungs.
