Today's creative activities are all linked to sea creatures or the sea.


Depending on what you have to hand in your home you may need to make a few adjustments to the activity.

We would much rather you adapt an activity than make additional journeys outside your home.

You may want to have a go at all, or some of these activities or you may have some good ideas of your own.

Why not turn today's fruity snack into a sea creature..

Get creative


Why not investigate floating and sinking.

You could do this with a bowl of water, in the sink, or even in the bath tonight!


Collect bits and bobs from around the house and remember to predict what you think will happen before you investigate.


If you've got any plastic sea creatures you could freeze them in a bowl of water and investigate how you can rescue them from the iceberg



Use water to write a message

If you have a paintbrush great, or you could just use your finger. 

If it’s a nice day use water and a paintbrush to paint your

fence, wall or path and watch it dry

You could practise writing your name, letters, numbers

or writing secret messages.



How about getting those little fingers working by clipping paperclips together to make this jiggly jellyfish. This is a 'funky fingers' type activity which is really important to get little fingers moving to help with writing...

The Carnival of the Animals - Aquarium

This music is taken from the piece of music that I added yesterday. It is based around an aquarium. You could listen to it whilst you are working - I find it very relaxing. What do you think?
