Welcome to Foundation Stage; the team is made up of
Miss Brunt, Mrs Webster, Miss Gill, Mrs Roys, Miss Dean, Mrs Bee and Miss Yapp
In FS2 (Lions and Tigers) we have 60 children split into two classes for carpet sessions and PE. For the rest of the time we mix together in our large classroom space as well as mixing with the Cubs in the morning.
In FS1 (Cubs) we have a large classroom space to explore as well as Lions and Tigers classrooms in the morning.
The children learn through a ‘free flow’, play based curriculum with a range of child initiated and adult-led activities taking place both inside and out.
Please find below information regarding the two apps we regularly use in FS to communicate and share our learning experiences with parents!
The children have an on-line Tapestry Learning Journal which is used to record photos, observations and comments in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, to build up a record of your child’s experiences during their time with us. It is a wonderful way for parents to keep informed about their child’s learning instantly through email notifications.
Parents can add their own observations so we can gain an insight into their child’s interests and achievements outside of school, which can provoke some lovely discussions - if you require a form please ask a member of staff.
MarvellousMe is a quick and fun way for teachers to keep you regularly informed about the wonderful things that your child is learning at school, and how well they are developing good behaviours and character skills.
The snippets of information that MarvellousMe gives you (and to any other of your family members or carers who join up) makes it easy for you to:

What have we been up to?
A huge thank you to all of the parents who participated in our summer reading challenge, it was fantastic to see all of the wonderful places the books were read! The children really knew the book when they started in September.
Lions, Tigers and Cubs have really enjoyed learning about Autumn and the signs to look for outside! We have gone on autumn walks, counted autumn objects, amongst many other things! Here are some of the fantastic things we have been doing!
