You could use things from around the house or garden to make groups of 9 or 10.
Play games where they have to do a certain amount of hops, jump, claps
- try and incorporate this into daily activities 'Please could you get me 9 pieces of paper'. 'Eat 10 more pieces of pasta.' (you can do this with whatever number)
Practise counting carefully 1:1 - so they say just 1 number for each object/ action to avoid miscounting.
