Name writing

Remember to practise writing your name every day!

 

Can you stick the letters of your name onto some contruction toys and mix them up? Then rearrange to spell your name?

Great activity for letter recognition and name writing. smiley

 

Can you write your name with water outside on the pavement?

You could use a brush, toothbrush, (ask your grown up first) or even just your hands! Why does your name disappear in the sunshine? smiley

  • Display their name on posters and labels. ...
  • Have fun experimenting with letter formation. ...
  • Grip the pencil properly. ...
  • Praise early attempts at writing. ...
  • Create a name puzzle - mix the letters up and ask them to put in the right order..
  • First letter should be a capital letter, the rest lower case....
  • Provide verbal instructions. sounding out the letter....
  • Praise, praise and more praise... They are doing amazingly well and I'm very proud of how far they've come.heart
