RE Places of Worship in our community (Monday 27th April)

Summer Week 1 - Monday 20th April 2020

What is the main religion of your chosen country? Find out what your chosen country’s main religion is. Then research this religion. This could include:

  • What do they believe?
  • What festivals do they celebrate?
  • Tell me about a festival they celebrate.
  • Who do they worship?
  • Where do they worship?
  • What is their religious book called?

You can present this information in any way you choose. You could do a poster, mind map or a PowerPoint presentation. Can you find 10 facts?

Use the class email to send your work to me. I look forward to reading your fantastic work.

Use the link below for some information about different religions.

Monday 30th March 2020

Read the Easter story, focussing on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Choose one of the activities to complete.

  • Imagine you were at Jesus’ trial. Write a recount of what happened, including when he was arrested and his trial. What happened to Jesus? How did it make you feel?

  • Create a poem or short story about Good Friday. For Christians and Jesus, Good Friday is a time to remember, joy, sadness, despair and hope. Positive events came from Good Friday because Jesus rose from the dead and showed he was God’s son. Your story or poem could include these different feelings.

In R.E. this term we have been learning about the Easter story and the events that happened leading up to Easter.

I would like you to create a story map of the Easter story. Use the PowerPoints below to help you to remember the Easter story.

You can use one of the templates below or one of your own.

I look forward to seeing your fantastic work.
