Squiggle

Today in Squiggle we are going to continue to be Real-Life Superheroes!

So put on your favourite music and get ready to boogie.

Remember each time we Squiggle we do the dance moves then we use pens on paper or whiteboards.

Did you have a go at some of these moves yesterday...

1 - firefighter.. climb up your ladder - count how many steps it takes to reach the top.

2 - chef.. stir up that food with big round movements (what are you making?)

3 - police officer.. run after that bad guy.

4 - soldier.. stand to attention and salute.

5 - paramedic.. drive your ambulance.

6 - postal worker.. walk, walk, walk and post your letters - (remember to get your knees up high for this one)

7 - firefighter (again).. squirt your hose making big shapes as you squirt you water - humps, zigzags, circles...

Did you think of any more actions of your own? .

Remember it is all about big movements, using all of your body.

Now you have Wiggled it is time to Squiggle.

As we squiggle this week we are going to focus on letter formation, remember to take a look at the letter formation videos to help you.

Remember to hold your pen with your best grip

Today we are going to practise

p

We practice the letters grouped this way as they have similar formation

which makes it easier to remember, learn and embed.

Remember to start at the top each time and come all the way down to the bottom in a straight line

before you go back up your line again

and over...

a little trickier today as one of these letters has a tall stick that sticks up in the air,

and another a long stick that goes down...

Take care, you should be able to write each letter without taking your pen off.
