FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2020

The Ranch

All emotions are ok, it’s what you do with them that counts.

Thank a Teacher Day

May 20th is National Thank A Teacher Day.

It will mark a moment when we, as a nation, can come together to say thank you to teachers across the country who are making a difference not only now during these unprecedented times, but every day of the year.

The Teaching Awards Trust are asking as many people as possible to share their message of thanks, ideally in a video clip leading up to the day. This will be in an expression of their choosing - singing a song/miming to a song of thanks to their teacher, writing and/or reciting a poem, or sharing a picture of a drawing.

Food Bank Collection

St John’s in association with Bassetlaw Community and Voluntary Service (BCVS).

Can you help support our local foodbank by donating any non-perishable items such as tins of food, rice, pasta, tea, coffee etc?

There will be a box left inside the school gates every day from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday, for you to place your kind donations in.

Please ring the buzzer on the gate to gain access. St John’s staff with then deliver the items to BCVS for distribution.

Please do not make a special journey to deliver food, this could be done on your daily walk and remember to stick to social distancing rules.

Take care

Mrs Haynes xx
