The perimeter is the distance all the way around the outside of a 2D shape. To work out the perimeter, add up the lengths of all the sides. If you are only given two sides, the opposite sides are always the same.
Add up the lengths of every side or count the squares. You don't need to count the corners. Check carefully to make sure you have added every side and not missed one.
