There is also a grammar activity for you to do.

Presto - Pixar (2008)

Character Description

Write a character description for the rabbit or the magician.

Write about:

  • Their appearance - what they look like.
  • What they wear.
  • Their personality - How do they behave? (e.g. happy, sad, kind, mean, selfish, shy, lazy, jealous)
  • What is there job?
  • Their actions - What do they do?
  • How do they feel?
  • Does the character change during the clip?

Dialogue

Write a commentary for the show to explain what happens.

Write a conversation between the rabbit and the magician that could be part of the show.

For example:

Rabbit called, "I want to eat this carrot now!"

Magician yelled loudly, "No! It's part of the show."

Diary or Story

Write a diary or story about the video clip. You could write a diary as the rabbit or magician. Think about how they felt, what they did, what went well or what went wrong.

Grammar Activity

Complete the grammar activity called 'Be the Teacher'. You need to correctly rewrite the speech using inverted commas (speech marks) and other punctuation, so there are mistakes in it.

When punctuating speech:

  • Always start with a capital letter inside the inverted comma
  • Put a comma before using the inverted comma
  • There should always be a comma, full stop, question mark or exclamation mark at the end of speech
  • Put punctuation inside the inverted commas.

For example,

Tommy politely asked, "What time is it?"

"This food is delicious!" Lara commented.
