Write a description of the girl and setting

Write a description of the girl in the picture and the setting. Use adjectives and adverbs to add more detail.

Use these questions to help you:

  • Who is the girl?
  • What does she look like?
  • What has happened to her?
  • How is she falling? Use adverbs
  • What does the tunnel look like?
  • What might be hiding in the tunnel?
  • Where does the tunnel lead to?
  • How does she feel? Why?

Write a description of where the tunnel leads to

Write a description of where the tunnel leads to and what happens next. Use your imagination to decide where the girl goes. Is it a good place? What does it look like? Who is there? Use lots of adjectives to add description.

Story or diary

Write a story or diary about the girl's adventures of what happens next.

Finish this story

Down, down, down she went, deeper into the rabbit hole. It seemed like she had been falling for an eternity, as if time had slowed almost to a stand-still. She moved through the air as if through water, the fragments of dust and light filling her vision. She opened her mouth to scream, but the voice that spoke was not her own. What was this place? Would she ever land?

The stiflingly hot air of the dusty library filled her mouth, and she could almost taste the scent of the ancient books that surrounded her descent.

Down, down, down she went, deeper and deeper into the dream. It had to be a dream, she thought to herself. She took a deep breath, a gasp like one would take before plunging into water, her body tensing for the imminent thump that would usually meet a fall such as this… but it never came...
