Hello everyone! Welcome back to school. We hope you have had a fantastic Christmas and a lovely New Year.

 

We have got another fantastic topic planned for you this term. Come and have a look later next week to find out what you are going to be learning about.

 

 

Reading Challenge

Did you get any good books for Christmas? Perhaps you could bring them in and we could read some at the end of the day.

 

Remember each time you read at home note it down in your reading record.  If you read everyday you get a stamp at the end of the week and these can be spent on a raffle ticket and prizes at the end of the half term!  Let's see if we can give everyone a raffle ticket this half term.  Reading is an extremely important part of the year one curriculum and is the gateway to lots of other learning so please please read regularly at home and make sure we know about it!

Don't forget about our blogging pages for Elephants and Bears. We will set different challenges and posts for you to comment on. You can access the blogging site from the school website under the children's section.

 

 

General information.

 

PE - Please bring with you an indoor and outdoor PE kit. Shorts and T-shirt for indoors and jogging bottoms, sweatshirt and trainers for outdoor.  Earrings and other jewellery must not be worn for PE. Please make sure that these are removed before coming to school as we are unable to remove them.

 

Please make sure you bring a water bottle to school with you as we are not able to provide drinks in class.

 

Reading books will be changed on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays - please bring your book bag to school every day. Please try to read at least three times a week and don't forget to record your reading in your reading diary.
