Lego Pyramids
Before building their own pyramids from card, Year 6 thought about shapes and dimensions by building a pyramid with Lego. This linked their mathematical knowledge into our history topic as they had to calculate and estimate the amount of bricks that they would use. Once this was completed, they checked their final construction against their original estimations. Finally, they were asked to increase the size of their pyramid by three for which they had to again calculate the exact number of Lego bricks.
