While our classmates have been at Whitby, we have had a great couple of days working with the children from Y3 creating our own minibeast board games. Check them out in the gallery.
If you are going on the Whitby trip this Wednesday please can you pack your St John's cap (or a blue one) as this will make it easier to spot you all when we are out and about. Try and pack your own case with an adult so that you know what was in there when it's time to repack and remember to practise making a bed as you will have this job to do when we arrive!
Fingers crossed that the sun will shine for us

See you tomorrow.
What a lovely weekend it's been, I hope the sun stays out all week for us.
I hope you all have a great half term.
Smoothie tasting was good fun today, why not try different ones over the holiday and share your thoughts with the class when we return.
Please don't forget to complete your ICT homework for Miss Hagen.
Polite notice - At hometime on Friday all lost property from the Y3-4 cloakroom/classrooms will be collected and displayed outside in the playground for you to have a look at. Any items left which are unnamed will then be donated to charity.
As promised I have added the link for the numeracy games we played this morning.
I have read the opening paragraph of your stories. WOW. I am so impressed. I feel so sorry for James. Your word choices are fantastic. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next. Remember the next paragraph is about the magic watermelon growing. In the actual story a strange man appears and gives James a bag of magic crocodile tongues which escape into the ground. I think you can come up with something even more imaginative for your story. I better go write my second paragraph so that I can show you it tomorrow.
Don't forget that we are visiting the community allotment project tomorrow afternoon. Your permission slips need to be handed in or you will not be able to join us.
What is this round thing I can see in the sky?
I hope you are all enjoying this lovely Bank Holiday weather.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have been busy looking at your character descriptions from last weeks literacy lessons and they are excellent. I can't wait to see how your stories are going to come together.
Don't forget that it's our trip tomorrow.
You will need to be in school at 7.45am to register as we will be leaving at 8am prompt.
Remember your lunch and a snack as well as your coat and keep your fingers crossed for good weather.
We will return to school at 4pm.
I am really looking forward to it, it will be a great day.
As promised I have added the links to the time games we played together in Numeracy

Hi everyone I hope you are all enjoying our Easter holidays. I have been very busy eating chocolate and planning our next topic;
During this topic we will be studying different minibeasts looking at their special features, what they eat and where they live.
We will also be enjoying Roald Dahls fantastic book - James and the giant peach.
