On Monday 19th November children from 6GC visited North Notts College and were given a talk about Bloodhound SSC, the fastest car ever made. BSSC aims to break the land speed record and travel at a speed of over 1000mph. Firstly pupils were briefed about the project, which aims to inspire children to get involved in maths, engineering, science and technology. The children were then involved in designing a base camp for the project to take place in the South African desert, before making their own super sonic cars and testing their speed on the track. The children in 6GC had a fantastic morning and gained a lot from the experience.
