FRANCE DAY 2
Bonjour!
After our scavenger hunt last night and early morning start, the children were keen to get to bed and we managed to settle them down at about 10am - although they did stay up chatting for a couple of hours more!
Then it was up bright and early this morning at 7am for our second day of adventures in France. After a hearty breakfast of cereal and croissants, we set off on a 15 minute journey from the chateau to a local market town. Our first activity was to take a tour around the town by following clues and answering questions. After this we looked around a historic church and then it was off to the market. You will be pleased to know that the children were finally able to spend some of their Euro's which they have been desperate to do ever since we arrived. Consequently, the coach was full of sparkling Eifel Tower souvenir's and glass statues. The children were fascinated by the food for sale including cow's tongue, brains and heart and also some of the seafood that was still alive!
This afternoon we are jumping off enormous poles onto trapezes, sliding down the highest zip wire in Europe and taking part in archery. More photos to upload later!
