Librarians Night Out
In order to choose some wonderful new books for the school library, the school librarians have been on a trip to Waterstones in Meadowhall to select some new texts for our school. Usually the teachers select the new books for school but this year we thought it was important for this money to be sepnt by the children.
The school librarians have a very important role within our school under the expert guidance of Mrs Withers. Every day they have the responibility of ensuring that the library is tidy and books are stored in the correct place. Every a Thursday luchtime they all give up their time in helping children throughout the school borrow and return books.
As a treat for their hard work, on Tuesday 5th of March, all the librarians were invited to Meadowhall to choose £200 worth of books from Waterstones. After this they were treated to a delicious dinner at Pizza Express.
Since returning to school, the children have presented the books and a recount of their trip to the whole school in a special assembly.
Thank you to all the children for their continued hard work and to the teachers that supported this event.
