On the 31st March School Council members helped with "The Road to Easter" celebrations in school. They escorted parents to find their child's classroom, showed people around the displays in the hall and chatted to Reverend Alvey and Anne Lumb the church schools education officer for Southwell.

On the 21st January 2015, school council members from Y5 and Y6 (along with Mrs Fotheringham and Mrs Pollard)  visited the Betts Show in London. We looked at new technology to help us learn in school.

A great time was had by all, here are some photos from the day:

The School Council discussed what their roles and responsibilities should be and decided on the following:

  •  to represent their class on individual, group and whole school issues and ideas and to voice these at school council meetings
  • to share ideas and decisions from school council meetings with their class
  • Mrs Pollard to share school council ideas with the other members of staff

In September each class voted for their new school council representative, the following children where elected.

4RP Hannah-Grace

It's school council election time. If you think you would make a good school councillor then let your class know why they should vote for you. What qualities and attributes will you bring to St John's school council?

Thank you to last years school council. You did a brilliant job.
