On Friday 25th January, all children in year 6 visited Trent Bridge, the home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket. During the day, children were given tasks which included cricket based numeracy, literacy, geography and history sessions. After lunch, the children were split into groups and the Notts CCC coaches taught them some bowling and batting skills in the gymnasium. Overall it was an extremely exciting day, and one which all the class enjoyed and learnt some key aspects both about the game, and also practically participiating in the game. I'm sure all of the children enjoyed the talk from Peter, the Trent Bridge librarian, an entertaining character to say the least. Please take a look at the photos from the day!
