Welcome to our class page!
I have started to add interesting information, links to our learning and photographs of what we have been up to.

 

Please let me know if you want anything adding to our class page.

I am really looking forward to our trip to The Yorkshire Wildlife Park tomorrow. Below are a few things for you to remember;
1) Please remember to wear sensible shoes and your school uniform.
2) It's going to be hot so remember your cap, sun cream and plenty of water
3) You have to carry your bag around all day so make sure it's not too heavy
4) YWP is part of the Children's University so bring your passport to receive a stamp - hand it into me in the morning before we leave.
And finally- We are leaving at 9am so don't be late.

All of our stick insects now have new homes - thanks everyone.
Don't forget that's it's sports day tomorrow - remember to wear a t-shirt in your team colour.

We are entering our final 2 weeks and what a busy 2 weeks they are going to be. 

 

It's our sports day on Thursday morning and Proms in the Playground Thursday evening and the following week we are going on our trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and having our Ugly Bug Ball.

 

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and don't forget your sun cream if your enjoying our mini heat wave this weekend.

 While their classmates have been at Whitby, the Y4's have joined us for a great couple of days. We have had lots of FUN working together to create our own minibeast board games. Check them out in the gallery.

Calling all budding photographers: Your task is to take a photograph of a minibeast. You have until July 5th to get you entries in. There will be a prize for the winning photographer. Good luck and happy snapping!

Please hand in any sponsor money you've managed to collect by this Friday (17th) so that the PTA can start counting.

Well done 3RP you have all worked really hard this week.
Your days out presentations were fabulous and it was great to see you all working together in groups.
Well done to "Tropical Butterfly House" group whose powers of persuasion really made me and Miss Carlton want to visit their centre for a fun day out.
We will continue our work on leaflets next week so don't forget to pick one up if you see any.

Remember school starts again tomorrow, I hope you've all had a good holiday.
This year has flown so fast - we only have 6 weeks left together before you move up to Year 4!
Remember your leaflets tomorrow as we will be using these in Literacy this week and don't forget to bring back your handwriting homework.

I've just released the butterflies and added some more pictures. I've also got some video clips to show you on Monday. Another stick insect has also hatched. Good luck butterflies!

EXCITING NEWS!!! The Painted Lady butterflies have emerged from their cocoons. The baby stick insect is also out of its egg. I have posted some pictures below and will continue to do so during the week. I'm off to buy some oranges for the butterflies!

Don't forget to collect leaflets from tourist attractions during the holiday. You also have some handwriting homework.

You have all been working really hard building up your adventure stories, I can't wait to read them all during the holidays.
Well done to everyone who has collected stamps in their Children's University passport this term, why not collect stamps if you are lucky enough to have a day out next week? Check out the CU section on the clubs page for ideas of where to go.

Polite notice - At home time on Friday all lost property from the Y3-4 cloakroom/classrooms will be collected and displayed outside in the playground for you to have a look at. Any items left which are unnamed will then be donated to charity.

I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend especially as the sun has come out for us
I just want to remind you that we are visiting the community allotment project tomorrow so don't forget your permission slip if you have not yet handed it in.
Fingers crossed that the sun stays out for us, see you all tomorrow.

Don't forget that it's our trip tomorrow.
You will need to be in school at 7.45am to register as we will be leaving at 8am prompt.
Remember your lunch and a snack as well as your coat and keep your fingers crossed for good weather.
We will return to school at 4pm.
I am really looking forward to it, it will be a great day.

Our new topic is;

and over the coming term we will completing a minibeast study looking at their habitats and life cycles.
We will also be reading James and the Giant Peach which is a fabulous story written by the wonderful Roald Dahl.
I am sure you will really enjoy what I have in store for you and  
I can't wait to see your minibeast creations which you have been busy with during the holidays.
