I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and lovely presents as I leave St John's after 17 years. I will take with me lots of very happy memories as I enter a new chapter in my life.
Check out the photo's from todays trip below. Don't forget that tomorrow is our Ugly Bug Ball day. You can come in your costume if you like or change in to it ready for the afternoon. I can't wait to see what you will look like.
Don't forget it's our trip tomorrow. Please remember to wear sun cream and a hat as it's going to be a hot day and bring plenty to drink, but remember you need to carry your bag around with you.
We will be leaving school at 9am sharp so please don't be late. I am really looking forward to visiting The Yorkshire Wildlife Park as I have never been before.
What a busy day we had yesterday what with sports day in the morning and Proms in the playground last night. Well done to everyone who took part in both events and thank you to everyone who supported us by attending.

It's sports day tomorrow, don't forget to join us on the field at 9.30.
Don't forget that your meeting your new teacher tomorrow afternoon, I wonder who's class your going to be in.
We are entering our final 2 weeks and what a busy 2 weeks they are going to be.
It's our sports day on Thursday morning and Proms in the Playground Thursday evening and the following week we are going on our trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park , having our Ugly Bug Ball and don't forget the Sports Presentation dinner! PHEW!

While our classmates have been at Whitby, we have had a great couple of days creating our own minbeast board games. Check them out in the gallery.
If you are going on the Whitby trip this Wednesday please can you pack your St John's cap (or a blue one) as this will make it easier to spot you all when we are out and about. Try and pack your own case with an adult so that you know what was in there when it's time to repack and remember to practise making a bed as you will have this job to do when we arrive!

Don't forget to find out the name for a 10 sided shape.The first person to tell me in Numeracy tomorrow will earn 2 tickets.
Don't forget your rackets tomorrow, I've been practicing all weekend!
Don't forget if you are taking part in tennis tomorrow you need to wear the kit I provided you with and we are leaving school at 8am prompt.

Please hand in any sponsor money you've managed to collect by this Friday (17th) so that the PTA can start counting.
If you are out and about this weekend why not look out for different habitats. You could take a photo and share it with the class as we will be continuing this work next week as well as starting an exciting new topic in D & T.
Don't forget the parents meeting for Whitby is this Monday at 6pm.
Remember it's back to school tomorrow, I hope you've all had a good break. I have been very busy writing your end of year reports.
Please remember to bring your homework for Miss Hagen as you will need this for your ICT lesson.

What a lovely weekend it's been, I hope you've all stocked up on sun cream!
If you are lucky enough to enjoy a day out this week please pick up a leaflet to share with the class as when we return to school we will be designing our own.
Have a great half term everyone, I hope the sun comes out for us.

Polite notice - At hometime on Friday all lost property from the Y3-4 cloakroom/classrooms will be collected and displayed outside in the playground for you to have a look at. Any items left which are unnamed will then be donated to charity.

Just a reminder that we are visiting the community allotment project tomorrow morning so remember your permission slip if you forgot to bring it back last week.
Your literacy homework is also due in so remember to bring that with you too as you will need it for our lesson, I can't wait to see the different places you are going to include in your stories.

I hope that you are all enjoying the Easter break and that you haven't eaten too much chocolate!
I am really excited about our new topic for next term, minibeasts. We will be learning all about these tiny creatures from their features and life cycles to their habitat's.
Our book for next term is going to be Roald Dahls "James and the giant peach" which I know you are really going to enjoy and hopefully this will inspire you to write your own minibeast adventure story.
I am really looking forward to seeing your minibeasts and can't wait for you to see our fabulous corridor which has been transformed over the past week.
